The dogs don't get to visit our winemaking and home brew beer supply store but they would like to!  Actually the pooches have spent quite a bit of time a Grandma's house recently because the yard has been torn up by landscaper's trying to get the yard finished around the new home (story elsewhere on the web site about the Parkersburg tornado and the loss of my son and daughter-in-law's home).

My son Nick and his wife Andrea own the above duo.  Rusty is a Golden Labrador and Zoey is an English Bulldog.

Rusty thought he was King of the Hill until little Zoey arrived on the scene.  Although about half of Rusty's size, Zoey is undaunted when it comes to taking her place in the chow line.

Neither will admit it but they are best of friends.  They have even been caught nestling up against each other on the sofa while taking an afternoon nap.

Rusty weighs in at just under 100 pounds but is a typical Labrador with an even temperament and a fairly soft mouth.  The only thing that gets him excited is a stray rabbit in his backyard stomping grounds but they quickly learn to not venture there.

Zoey is definitely the pampered princess.  She is everyone's best friend and loves to visit and stay for the night.  Even my mother gets into the act with Zoey spending time with her when Nick and Andrea go traveling.
